Slumdog Millionare brought home oscar for AR Rahman for his composition 'Jai Ho" a beautiful expression for hope.Yes he has made us proud once again in the global filim arena, but not my favourite. I fell in love with his composition after hearing it in the movie Roja-----he started off with chinna chinna assai, describing the beauty of mother nature followed by Rukumani Rukumai, an expression of love at the first night of marriage followed by puthuvellai mazhai, a sensual love song. Then he takes us to kaddal Roja a soulful expression of pain & rememberance of his lost love, and the patriotic score during the movie gives me goose bumps everytime i hear . He finally closes the movie with a splendid tamiza tamizha.
